Holy shit, it finally happened!!!!!!!!!

We worked through most of the issues on the website and were able to upload a new podcast yesterday. Not quite sure about the iTunes feed yet, but we're working on it.

Just wondering if anyone has tried the Cusano Celebrity Series (I think that's what it's called). It consists of four "brands" of cigars, meant to mock other popular brands. The M1 is a Macanudo knock-off (haven't tried one), the MC is a Monte Cristo copy, P1 is a Punch copy and CC is a generic Cohiba. I have tried all but the M1, and I think they are pretty dang good cigars. However, I have never had the cigars they are meant to mock (I am a fairly new and penny-pinching smoker). They are anywhere from $3.89 to $4.99 at G.W. Coffee and Tobacco in St. Cloud, MN.
Just wanted to see if others have tried them.

Hey Rich...I have and must say that they are worth every penny, I really enjoy the MC. The M1 is actually a Macanudo rip off...only one thing went wrong with it...it actually tastes like something, unlike Macanudo which tastes like nothing

Thanks for the input, Andrew. I guess I'll have to try an M1. I was a bit skittish before, due to the bad reputation of Macanudo on the show.
Speaking of that, I finally got G.W. to get some Flor de Olivas in. I have always heard the boys ranting about them. I tried a couple and they are all that and more. Between these and the Cusano Celeb. series, I may never be able to justify paying for expensive cigars again. . . yeah right!!

Now I just gotta get them to bring in some Perdomo Frescos. . .
MAN, am I a cheap ass, or what?

In order to somewhat negate my unabashed cheapskate-ery, I did spend $9 on a Double Chateau Fuente last weekend. Maybe I got a bad one, but I'd have preferred getting 2 Flor de Olivas for the money.

Rich...you did not get a bad one...they are not one of my favorites, in fact I put them in the same category as Macanudo for they bore the ever living crap out of me...

And Josh...I could put things here in the blog...like I said...just wait...

Has anyone tried a St. Luis Rey Titan? I had one a while ago, but I can't find much about them on the net. It is something along the lines of 60x6.5. It was too big for my cutter. I had to use a knife! I was in Florida and this was the only recognizable cigar brand they had at the only shop I found.
I was smoking it in the hot tub when it started to rain. The cigar got wet, so I had to puff like hell to keep it going. (I probably should have thrown it away, but as I have established, I am a cheap-ass). I smoked the whole thing in approximately 15-20 minutes. Needless to say, I did not feel good after that.

Hey Rich..I have not tried the SLR Titan...mainly because I am not a fan of the 60rg...I have heard a lot good things about them though...
Where in Florida were you...I know a lot of cigar shops down there...

I was at my in-laws in Palm Bay. You would think that in Florida they would be everywhere, but the only one I found was a cigarette-based outfit in a strip mall. Maybe 3-4 brands, tops. I would love to find something with more variety and knowledge about cigars.

I am there now for bro-in-law's wedding. Brought a Flor de Oliva Gold torpedo and a P1 torpedo. Had the FdO last night... burned my knuckles and almost my lips.
Saving the P1 for the wedding (on the beach... NICE!) I am sure it will be good, as always.

Well, I couldn't wait for the wedding for the P1. It was good.

However, I found a good cigar shop in Indiatlantic, FL. It was only about 1 mile from the hotel. It is called Verona del Sur, and they carry mostly their own brand of cigars (same name). They have a website and I am trying to recall it, but if you google the shop name you will find them.
Had a Sumatra Torpedo. I can honestly say it was the best stogie I have ever had. Just to be sure it wasn't the Henessey that made me think that, I got two more and the second was just as good. Can't wait for the third.
Check out Verona del Sur's website. They have decent pricing and often times shipping is free.

Have you heard of a brand called "Colonial Havana"? We stopped at a roadside bar/restaurant off of 520 in Cocoa, FL on the way to the airport. It's called the Lone Cabbage. (Pretty good gator tail and GREAT hushpuppies!) They sold this brand of cigars for about $6.00 (no tobacco tax in FL!!!) and I cannot find any info on it anywhere. They were all Maduros. I tried the torpedo last night. I have never had a maduro before, so I am not sure if it was "good" or not, but it was definitely different.
Any info on this brand would help me enter it in my Cigar Register software. (I am a nerd).
